How to Unlock The Lunar Game
Complete Bakir Court Activities—including his Headhunters, Payoff Transports, Distilleries, Pillories, and linked Uriashi work—until Bakir’s Anger reaches maximum. Farkas, Bakir’s servant, then approaches Coen with a plan to enter the Lunar Game. Guides commonly estimate roughly three quarters of Bakir’s 12 activities, but the full meter is the real trigger.
Watch the meter, not a checklist count
Exactly seven, eight, or nine activities is not guaranteed. Stop using the estimate as soon as the Anger meter is full and Farkas appears.
Farkas, Afternoon, and the Dusk Timer
Meet Farkas at Lunar Manor in the Afternoon, after five of the eight daytime segments have elapsed. Once you enter, three daytime segments remain before dusk and the tournament. Five elapsed segments do not themselves mean dusk; they mark the start of the last preparation window.
Preparation Before the Tournament
Use the three remaining daytime segments selectively. These steps are optional, but they can reduce pressure later:
- Talk to contestants to learn their positions and identify possible allies.
- Build cooperation where dialogue allows it so fewer contestants oppose you in the maze or later fight.
- Collect poisonous leaves if you want the sabotage route.
- Poison Cockroach’s liquor to alter that contestant’s state before the game.
The Maze: Hide Your Vampiric Abilities
Do not use Vampiric Abilities in the maze: Bakir can detect Coen if he reveals them. Collect the temporary equipment supplied inside and rely on ordinary weapons and Swordmastery. The challenge is designed around human combat tools, preparation, and navigation.
The riddle
For the directional riddle, choose "Left one it is...". Do not turn the maze into a vampiric power check; using those abilities is what exposes Coen.
Feast Conversation and the Treasury
After the tournament, revealing Coen too early can produce a harder group fight. Preserving the cover through the dinner conversation can persuade Bakir to lead Coen into the treasury, where he can be isolated. One route uses the feast dialogue to flatter or interest him long enough to get there.
There is no guaranteed universal dialogue script
Current guides disagree on the exact dinner answers, and earlier contestant survival or tournament choices may affect the result. Use the feast to preserve your cover and aim for the treasury, but do not assume one copied dialogue sequence always works.

The easiest setup is strategic: get Bakir alone in the treasury. Fighting him beside surviving henchmen and the witch miniboss is substantially more demanding.
Spare vs Kill vs Drain

Draining Bakir during the boss outcome unlocks Shadowstorm immediately. It is not the only route: obtain a Phial of Bakir’s Blood from Xanthe’s Recruiters: Come Home and drink it to unlock Shadowstorm while also increasing Corruption.

Common myth
Some guides imply draining Bakir is the only way to get Shadowstorm. It is not — the Phial of Bakir’s Blood also unlocks it. Do not skip the Phial thinking you have missed the ability forever.
Bakir’s Armour
Bakir’s Armour is a notable medium chest piece associated with looting the post-fight remains. Current guides conflict over whether it is strictly tied to choosing Kill or remains available after Drain. Check the body or ashes after either combat outcome; do not assume Drain guarantees the armour, and do not assume Kill is the only possible route. See the armor guide for build context.
The Ring Follow-Up
After the Lunar Game, Farkas can ask Coen to recover a ring distinguished by a purple eye / amethyst. This opens the short follow-up quest The Ring. The quest does not establish a fixed main-ending consequence for how Bakir’s soul was handled.
